Dusty Terrill
Dusty Terrill is a nature-loving and adventure-seeking travel advisor, rare disease advocate, writer, and research participant at the National Institutes of Health.
Dusty was diagnosed with hyper IgE syndrome AKA Job's syndrome, in 2015 after pneumonia led to both lungs collapsing. After diagnosis, Dusty strived to educate herself on her illness and ways to heal her body. She found during this journey that nutrition is a key component to symptoms of her illness.
Dusty was later diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer after showing many of the symptoms of hypothyroidism which led to a total thyroidectomy. Dusty strives to educate others on the challenges faced by those living with rare illnesses and hopes to increase medical knowledge and healthcare access.
