Burning ear syndrome

I began noticing 1 ear red and not the other rarely both ears, the red ear will get warmRed burning ear syndrome

  1. I mainly notice the red ear after I use the restroom (of course there’s always a mirror ) I haven’t checked my ears when I start getting burning tears maybe they’re both related.

    1. unfortunately I never seem to pay attention ! Now I’ll have to try checking .

    2. , it would be interesting to know. Keep us posted! Warmly, Donna (Team Member)

  2. i just saw this thread. i have been getting the warm, red ear thing regularly for years. i always take benadryl as soon as it begins because i always assumed this happens because of my allergies and worried i was risking an allergy attack that could result in hives. this always happens in early evening and especially if i take a shower in early evening.

    1. yes! the benadryl works wonderfully quick for hot ears. why on earth would we be having an allergy attack after evening showers?

    2. , I don't know! It's odd, we've had no change in soap or shampoo, and it only happens when he is under the shower. I was beginning to think he was allergic to the water, but doing dishes, laundry and handwashing don't bother him. He'll suffer for an hour or more out of the shower. It's odd. I will definitely tell him to try Benadryl for the hot ears. Thank you! - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)

  3. out usually only last for maybe a minute , I can usually feel my ear getting warm. Maybe it’s stress or Sjögren’s syndrome . I’ve been thru a lot the last 5 years 3 year job working 4pm to 4am then down the last 2 years for a failed back surgery thanks to a loose screw in my lumbar the surgeon refused to look at me, after getting additional opinions from 3 other surgeons I went to Mayo Clinic to find out the screw was loose after 18 months of misery and their suggestion was a stimulator which I had put in this week. I did find out this week I’m borderline anemic and low testosterone not sure if they could affect the ears burning .

    1. I called the stimulator surgeons office this morning my incision between my shoulder blades was hurting about a week after the surgery it felt like a staple was pressing on a nerve , with the staple out it’s still there it’s a squishy spot that comes and goes and gets painful and when it’s there my shoulder blade and spine go numb. They were supposed to ask the surgeon and call me back , they called and asked another question but never called back who cares if I have to suffer all weekend I guess

    2. , I feel you, I have a spot like that on the suture line for my amputation. When it is there, it is difficult to walk. When it's not, (it's still there but just a "bump") I can walk without problem. It is very difficult, and everyone wants to "experiment" at your expense. I hope they get back to you soon. Sending (((hugs))), love and light. - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)

  4. , the same thing has happened to my youngest son since he was small. For him it is when he is tired, sick or stressed. Do you notice any common causation for yours? - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)
