Adrenal hormones

Hi, I'm 25 y.o. male. I have doubts that I'm producing too much adrenaline. I checked all my hromones from endocrine system. Everything is fine. The problem is that in laboratory where i checked my metanephrines the the units of measurement are in ng/L. In google I can't find information in this unit measurment. Can someone who understands lab chemistry to convert my plasma metanephrines from 68 ng/L and normetanephrines 151 ng/L to nnmol/l and pg/mL because anywhere I can't find information and google only shows the normal reference range in this units nmol/l and pg/mL.

  1. I wish I could help with this! Unfortunately I cannot provide medical advice, other than to ask your provider about these units. It may be a good idea to get a second medical opinion on your labs if you are having doubts about the way your current medical provider interpreted them. You have a right to seek a second opinion from another medical provider in any circumstance. Best of luck to you! Warmly, Tatiana (raredisease.net team member)

    1. Hi, Thank you for being proactive about your health. I would recommend calling the lab and/or the provider who ordered the testing for you (if a medical provider was involved) to ask for them to make the conversion you are seeking.

      Wishing you well,
