ALS

My 70 year old husband was diagnosed with ALS 1 month ago. He has dementia as well. He doesn't comprehend what's going on or what's wrong with him. He knows he can't walk, but that's it. I think it's a blessing in a lot of ways. He seems content to stay in our bedroom (lift chair, bed and tv)

  1. Thank you so much

  2. Hi , It is very possible that your room is his safe-space. It can feel like a blessing when our loved ones are not "missing" facets of their life. Have you visited our sister site, alzheimersdisease.net? You may find some helpful information there as well. We're glad you're here. - Warmly, Donna (team member)
