Rachael Rose

Rare Disease Health Leader Aimee PerezRachael Rose (she/they) is a chronically ill and disabled artist, graphic designer, event and community organizer, sex educator, and patient advocate. She’s also queer, neurodivergent, and polyamorous. As a educator, she focuses on the challenges that being chronically ill, disabled, and/or neurodivergent can have on sex, relationships, and more.

Rachael is also the creator of the award-winning sexuality blog Hedonish.com and the co-founder of a Philadelphia event business that hosts inclusive and accessible events for the LGBTQ+ community. She also runs her own small graphic design and art business, Genetic Lemon Creative Studio.

She got involved with patient advocacy after being diagnosed with Indolent Systemic Mastocytosis in 2009, followed by a long list of other chronic conditions. She runs a monthly Sex and Mast Cell Diseases support group through The Mast Cell Disease Society and co-hosts the Mast Cast Podcast with fellow ISM patient advocate Candice Pauley.
