Unexplained 2 week fever multiple times

Started in 2022 and just finishing the 5th time.
I live in upstate NY 6 months and west central Florida the other 6 of the year. Been told maybe see a Florida doctor as they may know if its caused by something there.
Been to doctors that have done the works as far as blood tests and cultures and have no answers. Went to an infectious desease doctor and he has no clue either. Says possibly envirenmental and or allergies.
Often have some or all of the following symtoms (below) and the fever always lasts 13 nights, 15 this last time.
Usually feel fine until around 3 in the afternoon and then fever begins and by 11pm hits as high as 102.5

  1. Hi, !

First, I am sorry you deal with these issues fairly regularly. I know it's frustrating to have these ongoing issues and to not be able to have a firm diagnosis or treatment! That makes the situation even harder, I bet.

I am not able to give you medical advice or diagnosis, for your safety, but it does sound like your immune system does get triggered and is responding accordingly, hence the fever and other symptoms.

My husband deals with asthma and fairly severe seasonal allergies. It also turned out he had one heck of an ongoing infection deep in his sinuses that took FOREVER to get rid of. It tooks years for doctors to find it and then months to get it fully treated. I am in no way saying this is what you are dealing with, but some of your symptoms sound similar to his. He would even get a round of antibiotics and his symptoms would improve, but the infection would kind of retreat, but was still lingering and would flare up when he caught a cold or when allergy season hit.

You may want to see an ENT, if you haven't already. And, keep doing what you're doing -- tracking your symptoms so well. That info could be really helpful for a doctor working to find the answer to your issue. I know you have had bloodwork done, but sometimes, it takes some real detective work on the part of your medical team to get to the root of the problem. It sounds like you have had some good doctors doing their best, so I am in no way discounting their efforts.

I do hope you keep pushing for answers and that you can get a diagnosis and treatment very soon!

    Best, Erin, Team Member.
